About Elwyn
I'm good at writing, presentations and teaching. I have both the experience of academic norms and the business world. For 8 years, I had my proper enterprise, in collaboration with a range of people, entrepreneurs and investors to program managers for sustainabilité and education. Meanwhile, I taught workshops and lectures in universities on design, sustainabilité and entrepreneurship at the San Francisco Academy of Art and University of San Francisco. Currently a student at the Design Master + technology at Parsons Paris The New School for Design, I keep my order developer of communications in the field of interactive technologies. My understanding of the English language, anchored at a young age by my mother, an English teacher at the University of San Francisco, allowed me to easily move poetic journal of my youth, the creation of a high copy websites and marketing materials for my enterprise O'Lover Hats. As a recipient of my design work and as an ambassador for the Women's Initiative, I became adept at public speaking, improve the drafting of speeches and improvisation before a large audience. Knowledge of words and nuances of the language, further described my success in teaching, inspiring university students as speaker prompt.

I am skilled in writing, public speaking and teaching and have both the experience of the academic standards and the business world from the perspective of a designer. For 8 years I owned my own business, working with a range of people from entrepreneurs and investors to clients and local business owners. During this time, I held regular workshops and also lectured on design, sustainability and entrepreneurship at San Francisco Academy of Art and University of San Francisco.
I possess a masters diploma in Design Technology from Parsons Paris, where I was immersed in both the American and French education system. My specialization is interaction design: connecting people and technology. I have long been attentive to cultural differences, learning styles and how to communicate effectively in order to be well received by a diverse range of people, a result of growing up in an international family of educators and linguists.
My background in business, teaching and made-to-measure accessories diversifies my skills for effectively engaging people to acquire the professional and social tools to reach their goals of communicating in English. My command of communications is nuanced by research in interactive technologies (IX), user experience (UX), and interface development.

Excellent! J'apprécie les séances de travail avec Elwyn qui sait adapter le contenu des cours à mes attentes, essentiellement en variant les supports. Plus qu'un prof d'anglais, c'est aussi un bon coach qui aide à se dépasser sur le plan personnel/professionnel.

Perfect! Je suis très satisfaite de la qualité des cours avec Elwyn. En plus d'être sympathique, elle est vraiment très professionnelle, impliquée et sait adapter les cours aux besoins que nous en avons. J'ai beaucoup de plaisir à travailler avec Elwyn qui adapte ses leçons à la situation et qui varie les activités : lectures d'articles, discussions générales ou sur mon activité professionnelle, grammaire, ... Elwyn est très professionnelle et très agréable. C'est parfois un peu frustrant de ne pas pouvoir discuter en français car Elwyn est très intéressante et a de nombreuses connaissances, c'est une motivation supplémentaire pour progresser ! Je recommande très fortement Elwyn!

Je connais Elwyn depuis un an maintenant, et au cours de cette année, j'ai pu apprécier son grand nombre de qualité. Elwyn est curieuse, drôle et très consciencieuse. J'ai pu découvrir sa maîtrise du français et son excellence en anglais dans un cours de traduction du français vers l'anglais auquel elle assiste. Elwyn parvient toujours à trouver le mot juste, exprimer la nuance exacte, qu'il s'agisse d'un texte du 17e siècle sur la mode ou d'un article de la presse quotidienne. Sa connaissance du français est également étendue: élève curieuse et motivée, elle apprend vite et surtout, elle connaît les difficultés - mais surtout les astuces - pour apprendre vite et de façon durable une langue étrangère.
