About Cameron
I'm a conservatory-trained, professional trombonist, tubist, and conductor based in Chicago, having moved here to pursue graduate studies at DePaul University. I've worked in a variety of styles, including solo, chamber, and orchestral music, as well as jazz, rock, musicals, and more. As a teacher, I've worked with students of all ages, and had students audition and earn places in honor bands and university music programs. One of my greatest passions is working with my students to find creative ways to solve their biggest problems in a way that will work for them. My approach emphasizes teaching fundamental skills and musical knowledge from which to delve into more advanced concepts of instrumental conducting. That said, my commitment is to working with each individual student to meet their unique goals and aspirations. I have experience teaching students of all ages and experience levels, from absolute beginners to adults with decades of music making under their belt, and I feel confident that I can help you take your conducting to the next level.

Cameron is a multi talented trombonist and low brass expert affiliated with several orchestras. I am a professional pianist and have performed music with him a number of times. I always found him to be talented, professional, well-prepared, friendly, and easy to work with. He has had many students as well, so he does a great job at teaching, too. Highly recommended.
