About Jamie
I’m a professional songwriter, session guitarist and guitar tutor currently based in East London. I graduated from the Royal Norther College of Music in July 2021. Since then I have taught for Aura Music Academy, Front Row Music and Altrincham Guitar School. I have toured the UK extensively, supported the 1975 on their 2023 UK tour, supported Adele at Hyde park and have written songs with millions of streams on Spotify.
I don’t view my performing and teaching careers as separate entities, one definitely informs the other! I love getting new music recommendations from students and passing on tips and tricks I pick up from gigging up and down the country.

Flexible guitar lessons designed to fit with your musical interests, goals and schedule. All ages, beginner to advanced, at your house or at my home studio in Walthamstow. Any genre: rock, blues, folk, jazz and indie.
Grades
The structure that grades provide can be really inspiring! I have put many pupils through grade exams and, whilst exams aren’t for everyone, most pupils find the process rewarding.
Just for Fun
All of my lessons are tailored to the individual student. I am always happy to transcribe songs that you want to learn or explore any genre that you’re excited about!
Theory
Music theory knowledge can help students to develop their own distinct creative voice. I always try to incorporate it subtly into each lesson, most of the time you won’t even notice you’re learning theory.
Composition/Production
I am an experienced songwriter and producer. Together, we can explore different song structures, learn how to craft more effective melodies or even look at writing compelling lyrics.
