About Joaquin
I’m a professional pianist, specialising in classical music with a strong focus on Baroque repertoire. I began my musical journey at a very young age, later training at the Conservatoire in Havana, earning a magna cum laude degree in Sacred Music from the University of Ratisbona, and completing my FTCL diploma. With over four years of teaching experience, including my work at WKMT Piano Lessons London, one of the most prestigious piano schools, I bring both depth and clarity to every lesson.
I offer a comprehensive musical education that extends beyond piano technique, including solfeggio, harmony, jazz harmony, improvisation, choral conducting, and music theory. My teaching is tailored to each student’s goals, helping them develop technical mastery, musicality, and confidence in a positive, inspiring environment. My aim is to guide students to grow not just as players, but as well-rounded, expressive musicians.

In my lessons, students feel supported and inspired as they develop not just the ability to press the keys, but the mechanism, control, and artistry behind real piano playing. I teach classical piano and jazz using the Scaramuzza technique, combined with theory, solfeggio, and harmony, helping learners build a reliable technique while creating meaningful, expressive music.
I have a strong record of guiding students to achieve excellent results in ABRSM and Trinity graded exams in the UK. With my method, students can begin to play confidently within just a few lessons, provided they commit to regular practice between sessions.
Each lesson is personalised to the student’s level, goals, and learning style, creating a positive environment where progress feels natural and motivating. Sessions typically last 60 minutes, with flexible options for younger beginners. Lessons are open to all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced students seeking deeper artistic development.
