About Betty
I am a skilled and dedicated Flute tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience. I teach School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute in a clear, structured, and enjoyable way. My goal is to help students grow musically with confidence and discipline.
My teaching approach focuses on strong fundamentals and gradual progress. I train students in correct posture, breathing techniques, finger coordination, tone development, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. Lessons are planned based on the student’s level, learning pace, and personal goals.
I believe communication is the key to effective learning. I explain concepts in simple language and give clear demonstrations. Accountability is maintained by setting regular practice goals and reviewing progress. I teach with integrity by offering honest feedback and continuous encouragement.
Along with flute lessons, I also teach music theory, notation reading, rhythm training, and basic performance techniques. I help students prepare for exams, auditions, and stage performances.
My unique strength is my ability to teach students of all age groups. I create a calm, disciplined, and friendly learning environment that motivates students to practice and improve.

My flute teaching methodology is designed around Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, offering a comprehensive, adaptive, and inspiring approach to learning. I begin by assessing each student’s skill level, goals, and preferred learning style.
Clear communication allows me to teach techniques like breath control, posture, articulation, and musical interpretation in a way that is easy to understand and apply. I encourage students to actively engage, ask questions, and explore music in ways that resonate with them.
Creativity is a cornerstone of my teaching. I motivate students to explore multiple musical genres, experiment with improvisation, and develop original interpretations of pieces. Flexibility allows me to adjust lesson plans according to the student’s pace, progress, and interests, ensuring that learning is personalised, engaging, and effective.
In addition to flute playing, I teach music theory, rhythm, ear training, and sight-reading to build strong musicianship. My methodology ensures students develop technical skill, artistic expression, and confidence, creating a rewarding and lifelong journey with music.
