About FJ
Though I am a computer engineer who dabbles in social sciences, I have been a tutor for diverse students ranging from business majors to social sciences to math majors to engineers. I have also tutored middle school students. Working with a variety of learners fuels and challenges me, as I strive to help those who need an extra boost. It's incredibly rewarding to identify and overcome learning blockages, changing lives daily as I see students succeed. Perfect! FJ was quick to respond and schedule. He was prompt in his attendence. FJ was knowledgeable and patient and assisted me through my difficulties in understanding technical course content for github. It turned out that my difficulties were mostly in how my set up was configured in which he reconfigured but walked me through the entire process so that I was learning along the way. In addition, FJ provided additional tools that will help me in my studies. My hope is that FJ will continue to be a learning resource for me while I continue my studies. 10/10 recommend.

I cannot speak highly enough about FJ as a math tutor for my son. From the moment we started working with him, I could see a significant improvement in my son's understanding of math concepts. FJ is extremely nice, funny and helpful. He is helping me better understand PreAlgebra. I am happy to be working with him.
FJ brings a vast array of knowledge from engineering disciplines and brings the “engineering mindset” into his teaching. He stresses the importance of said mindset by challenging his students to critically think. He shows a deep and genuine commitment to not only teaching specific topics but instilling the seeds for true and innate curiosity.
You will not regret using FJ as your tutor. He is smart, but able to explain things in a way that’s understandable. He’s resourceful and probably the most responsible person I know. He’s completely invested in everything he does and will probably lose sleep if your student isn’t doing well. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

FJ tailors his lessons to his student’s needs and makes sure they have a clear understanding of each concept. He really takes his time and cares about his students. He tutored me for Calc 2 and I passed with flying colors!! I was struggling before having him tutor me, but in the end I did so well thanks to him! I can’t recommend him enough! He’s funny too :)
