About Ritam
I am a Computer Science postgraduate student in London with formal teaching experience and a strong academic background in core computing subjects.
I have previously taught undergraduate-level Computer Science, where I worked closely with students to develop conceptual understanding, structured problem-solving, and exam readiness. My teaching is organised, methodical, and focused on clarity. I take care to explain not only what to do, but why concepts work, so students can apply their learning confidently.
I approach tutoring with professionalism and reliability. Lessons are well-planned, punctual, and adapted to each student’s pace and goals. I place strong emphasis on clear communication, patience, and maintaining a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
I am currently pursuing an MSc in Advanced Computer Science, and my lessons are suited for university-level students and learners seeking to strengthen their Computer Science fundamentals. My name is Ritam, and my tutoring approach focuses on building strong fundamentals and clear problem-solving skills in Computer Science.
I teach by breaking complex topics into simple, logical steps and explaining the reasoning behind each concept before moving on to examples and practice questions. Lessons are interactive, with regular checks for understanding, and I adapt the pace based on how quickly the student is comfortable progressing.
A typical lesson lasts 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the topic and learning goals. Sessions usually include concept explanation, worked examples, and guided practice.
I have experience teaching core Computer Science subjects such as Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Databases, and Theory of Computation. I have previously taught undergraduate students and am currently pursuing an MSc in Advanced Computer Science at QMUL.
My lessons are suitable for undergraduate students, university-level learners, and anyone looking to strengthen their Computer Science fundamentals, typically from late school level upwards.
