About Andrew
I am a 2nd year computing student at Queens University. I have been programming for 4 years now, and I have been tutoring high school students for the past 2 years, including experience tutoring remotely. Many of my past students have told me that I explain things very well (including some of my math students!) and that I make concepts easy to understand. I really enjoy programming, and I hope to pass on that love of coding to my students.

My lessons are very specific to what you're looking for. If you're learning to program for the first time, I will follow a structured, but flexible plan to teach you the core concepts of computer science, reinforced with fun exercises. You will learn to think like a computer scientist and develop problem-solving skills while completing fun projects.
If you looking for help/tutoring for your computer science class in school (you already have a teacher), I will help consolidate your understanding, or completely re-teaching concepts if necessary (for example, if your teacher didn't do a good job teaching you the first time), using exercises to ensure you understand everything. I can also help you with homework and assignment. I will help guide you to the solution and give you hints, without giving you the answer. Depending on the problem, I might also give you a similar problem that we can work through together to improve your understanding of the concept and the way you think about the type of problem.
I always prepare for each lesson beforehand. If necessary, you can send me what topic or material you are working on (not required if I am the only one teaching you), or you can send me the assignment you want help on and I will look at it in detail before the lesson.
