About Alyssa
Hello, I'm Alyssa and a current student at the University of Utah. I have previously tutored at Timpview high school in which I tutored grades 9 to 12 in all math subjects from Algebra, Statistics, and Geometry to Calculus. I have worked with classrooms of students and have learned to accommodate various learning styles and needs. My favorite aspect of tutoring is that grand moment when the material finally clicks for someone and they say "Oh, I can do this." I believe anyone who puts in the time to learn can learn anything and I strive to help anyone achieve their learning goals. In my previous tutoring job, I often worked with kids from low income families who often did not have the support they needed at home and were discouraged in their studies. I want to help motivate your student to learn and succeed in math and in their future endeavors.

I believe the best way to teach is by doing examples and walking students step-by-step on how to solve them. With repetition, I hope to teach them to recognize patterns in their questions and to help them build confidence in solving problems.
