About Timothy
Hello future students! My name is Timothy Mukoro, and I’m thrilled to be your teacher. I have a deep passion for learning and exploring new ideas, and I’m here to help you discover the same excitement in your studies. With a strong background in Computer Science, Mathematics and Education, I bring years of experience and knowledge that I can’t wait to share with you. I employ an age-specific, learner-centered approach when planning my lessons, ensuring they are engaging and effective for all students. Each lesson typically lasts an hour, structured as follows: a 5-minute warm-up quiz to assess prior knowledge, a 30-minute interactive session incorporating short video clips for illustrative purposes and worked examples for practical application, followed by 15 minutes of classwork, which may include both group and individual activities. The final 10 minutes are dedicated to corrections, questions, and a recap or summary of the lesson.
With a strong foundation in computing and mathematics as a Computer Science graduate and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) holder, I bring over a decade of teaching experience across various key stages, including KS2, KS3, KS4, and Year 12 or the GCSE level.
