About Aretha-Mae
Hello, I'm Aretha-Mae, an experienced teacher of computer science and I believe that computer science should be accessible to all students of all abilities. Computer science is typically seen as a subject that can only be accessed when you are naturally talented in it and have many resources, which is far from true. Anyone can learn computer science. Even you! Therefore, my lessons focus on introducing technical concepts in a fun, interactive, and memorable way, breaking them down to bridge the gap between abstract ideas and real-life application.

My Qualifications: Computer Science Cybersecurity and Networks Graduate with in-classroom teaching experience. QTS and PGCE achieved. What I offer: KS3 GCSE Computer Science. KS4 BTEC IT & Computing. Computer Skills for Beginner Students. Length: 1-3 hours long online. STARTING AUGUST 2025 Approach: First lesson will include a discussion to identify what works best for student. Lessons will be tailored to each student’s learning pace, style and goals. Clear explanations with relatable, real-life examples. Free initial assessment to identify strengths and improvement areas.
