About GUNASEKHAR
My name is Gunasekhar, and I bring a genuine passion for Mathematics combined with a strong academic foundation to every lesson. I am currently completing an MSc in Cyber Security at the University of Southampton, building on a Computer Science degree that gave me a rigorous grounding in Mathematics, from Algebra and Geometry to Statistics and Calculus. My teaching approach centres on clarity and understanding: I break down complex topics into manageable steps, connect concepts to practical examples, and adapt my explanations to suit each student's individual learning style, whether that means visual diagrams, worked examples, or focused exam practice. Lessons typically run for one hour and follow a structured format — reviewing previous topics, teaching the day's concept in depth, and finishing with guided and independent practice to consolidate understanding, with extra focus on past-paper technique for students approaching exams. I am patient, reliable, and committed to helping students not just get through their coursework but genuinely build confidence and enjoy the subject. My name is Gunasekhar, and my approach to tutoring focuses on building genuine understanding rather than memorising steps — I break problems down, connect Maths to real-world examples, and adapt my teaching style to how each student learns best, whether that means visual explanations, diagrams, or working through past papers together, always at a patient and encouraging pace. I'm currently a postgraduate student at the University of Southampton studying MSc Cyber Security, with a Computer Science degree built on a strong Mathematics foundation, and while I don't hold a formal UK teaching qualification, I bring solid subject depth across Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, and Calculus along with genuine enthusiasm for helping students build confidence.
