About Harrison
My journey into programming began with curiosity about how simple instructions could produce powerful outcomes. This interest led me to pursue an M.Sc in Computer Science, where I developed strong foundations in software logic, systems, and applied computing. Over 12 years of teaching, I have guided students from confusion to clarity by emphasizing structure, reasoning, and confidence. I believe programming should feel approachable and encouraging. My teaching style focuses on patience, adaptability, and clear explanation tailored to each learner’s pace. I encourage experimentation and questions, helping students overcome fear of mistakes. Outside teaching, I stay actively engaged with programming through personal projects, new technologies, and continuous learning. These experiences keep my lessons relevant and practical. Teaching programming is deeply fulfilling because I see learners transform into confident thinkers who trust their logical abilities.

Computer programming lessons are designed to help learners understand how logical thinking turns ideas into working solutions. I guide students through programming fundamentals such as variables, control structures, functions, object-oriented concepts, data structures, and algorithms using clear, structured explanations. Lessons emphasize understanding why code works, not just copying syntax, so learners develop lasting confidence and independence. Real-world examples and practical exercises help students see how programming connects to everyday technology.
Lesson structure is adapted carefully to each learner’s background and goals. Beginners focus on logic building, basic syntax, and problem breakdown. Intermediate learners strengthen debugging skills, modular coding, and algorithmic thinking. Advanced learners work on optimization, project structuring, APIs, and interview or exam preparation.
