About Matthew
I am currently studying Computer Games Programming at the UK's leading University for Computer Games Development & Programming. Graduates of my course have gone to establish careers in companies such as Rockstar Games, Activision, Codemasters and CERN. During my studies I have received some of the highest grades in a large cohort of students and have refined my programming skills to industry standard. Some projects I have worked on so far are a Minecraft Mod, 4 Games (3 in Unity Engine C# and 1 in Unreal Engine) and a portfolio of programming challenges in C++. Previous to undertaking my studies I was working in a school in Staffordshire as an SEN Teaching Assistant and then moved onto a Cover Teacher role so have a great foundation of teaching techniques to help anyone understand a concept fully.

Programming languages vary in implementation but the theory behind them rarely does. I aim to teach students the methods and best practices used across all programming languages and tailor this to the language (C++ or C#) of the student's choice. This would include subjects such as coding style, mathematical practices and many more to shape an industry standard student. My lessons can vary in length but a typical lesson would run for an hour with an in-depth understanding of a particular topic given to the student. Lessons are aimed at students aged 15 and above with a good understanding of mathematics and a passion for technology.

I think Matthew would be an amazing tutor, I know him on a personal level and think his c++ skills are excellent and he has proven to over succeed in everything he does, I worked with him during the game jam this year and he goes above and beyond for everyone! Always helpful and willing to share his knowledge without hesitation. Hiring Matthew at a tutor I feel would be a huge asset for anyone that hires him! His also a very funny,trustworthy and down to earth guy! Definatley recommend :)
I know him personally he is great at teaching myself and others on programming, I know him for his skills in C++ and C#. I would recommend him over others as I know him personally and seen the work he has produced. He is an efficient, motivated, kind and patient person, he also breaks things down to a core fundamental level for anyone so this will be handy for entry-level programmers.
