About John
I am a dedicated math tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience and a background in Computer Engineering. I teach IB Mathematics and Grades 7-12 school math in English.
I have helped students at different levels improve their understanding, strengthen fundamentals, and become more confident in math through clear explanations and step-by-step guidance. My teaching style is patient, structured, and adapted to each student’s level and learning needs.
My goal is to make math easier to understand, less overwhelming, and more manageable, while helping students build real skills and confidence over time.

I offer lessons in English for both IB Mathematics students and Grades 7-12 school math students. Lessons are taught online only. No camera is required during lessons.
For IB students, I focus on clear concept explanation, step-by-step methods, and the reasoning needed for exam-style questions. I help students strengthen understanding, improve accuracy, and become more confident in solving unfamiliar problems.
For Grades 7-12 students, I focus on building a strong foundation, improving core skills, and making difficult topics easier to understand. Lessons are adjusted to the student’s level and can be used for regular support, homework help, test preparation, or review.
In all lessons, I aim to explain math clearly, patiently, and in a way that helps students learn independently over time.

Lessons are taught online only.
The first 30-minute free session is for understanding the student’s current level, identifying main challenges, and discussing learning goals and a suitable study plan.
Regular lessons are then tailored to the student’s needs, whether for building fundamentals, improving problem-solving skills, homework support, test preparation, or IB exam-style practice.
