About Aaliya
Hey class! I’m Aaliya Shiyas — your biology teacher this year. I’m the kind of educator who loves turning complex processes like photosynthesis or genetics into stories you can actually picture and talk about. I’ve spent years studying everything from cell biology to ecology, and I keep feeding that curiosity with new research, workshops, and field trips.
*What to expect from me:*
- *Hands-on learning:* We’ll do labs, models, and outdoor observations so concepts come alive.
- *Real-world connections:* From linking DNA tech to crime-solving to understanding climate change impacts on ecosystems.
- *Interactive vibe:* Questions are always welcome, debates are encouraged, and group work is the norm.
*Future knowledge I’ll bring:*
- Upcoming units on *CRISPR gene editing*, *microbiome science*, and *sustainable ecosystems*.
- Latest findings from journals, TED talks, and field studies.
- Skills to help you think like a scientist — observe, hypothesize, experiment, analyze.
Bottom line: I’m here to make biology not just a subject you pass, but a lens you use to understand the world

Hey guys, I know we've had our fair share of lectures and traditional teaching methods, but I wanna tell you something - this class is gonna be different. I'm not here to just feed you info and expect you to regurgitate it. I'm here to make learning actually interesting and useful for you .
My approach is more interactive, more discussion-based, and more focused on applying what we learn to real-life situations. I want you to question, I want you to debate, and I want you to actually enjoy the process of learning.
Here's what sets me apart:
- *Real-world examples*: We'll use case studies and examples from current events to make concepts more relatable.
- *Group work and discussions*: You'll work with your peers, share ideas, and learn from each other.
- *Hands-on activities*: Expect some fun, engaging activities that'll help you grasp complex concepts.
My goal is to make you think critically, solve problems creatively, and retain what you learn. So, are you ready to experience learning differently?
