I achieved top bands in both 4-unit maths and 3-unit English in Year 12. In addition, I tutored English for 2 years in both live and online environments. I taught classes ranging from Years 7-10 and occasionally marked the work of Year 11-12 students. Thus, I have experience in tutoring students across different age groups and academic abilities. These experiences allowed me to develop a greater appreciation for how tutors can teach what needs to be done IN PRACTICE. This includes understanding mark allocation, understanding what markers are looking for when writing exam questions, what topics are most likely to appear in exams, as well as how to prioritise study and exam time. The typical length of a lesson I teach is 90 minutes.
