你好 你好!你 最近 怎么 样? My name is João Omena, I'm 20 years old and I'm a Chinese-Mandarin student at the Confucius Institute in Recife-PE for about 1 year and four months. I have proficiency at HSK 3 level and in addition, I am also a student of International Relations.

My teaching method includes demystifying that Mandarin is an impossible language to learn, and oddly enough, it is very similar to Portuguese! In my classes, I try to focus on learning and understanding PINGYIN, an essential tool for reading characters. In addition to learning everyday expressions, grammatical points, reading simple texts and forming sentences, following the didactics for the HSK 1, 2 and 3 tests (Chinese proficiency test).
