About Samantha
As a child, I struggled greatly with ADHD and anxiety. It was hard for me to stay focused, stay on task, pay attention in classes and get homework done. I know what it's like to feel behind and not confident in my abilities.
I was able to work through that, find out methods that worked for me and my brain. I was able to improve, not just in school, but also my self-confidence.
I love working with other people and making sure that they are able to shine their brightest. To me, every student has great potential, they just need to find out the way that works for them to unlock it.
I want you to leave my lessons feeling better about yourself and your academic skills. I am always open to feedback; I want you to tell me what's working and what's not. We are learning and growing together.

Establishing connection and trust:
- I like to start with an introductory lesson that allows for the student and I to get to know each other.
- Right off the bat, establishing what it is that the student wants to gain from the tutoring sessions and what their strengths and weaknesses are in the subject.
Work:
- If there is any school work, assignments, or practice problems that need to be worked on or have questions asked about, we can dedicate parts or the full lesson to doing so.
- If possible, please send the assignments of problems before the lesson so I can plan the tutoring session around it.
Practice:
- If the student wants to practice reading or writing excersies, I can provide some. We can also work on any excersies provided by the student or the school.
