About Ava
Hi! My name is Ava Titus and I am a Mathematics major at St. John's University. I know math doesn't come easy to most people and I am here to help with that. I will have patience and guide the students through their challenges. It is important to never give up and push through the hard questions. I would love to be the person to help any student through that!

My teaching methods are simple: practice makes perfect. I will address concerns/confusion on any topic or lesson. I will walk them through practice problems with hands on learning. After I have prepared to do so, I will make a mini quiz for the student to show me they have learned something within our session! In addition, I can go over any quizzes or tests from their classes or review basic math with the students through flashcards and mini quizzes. Since I was little, I always excelled in math. Unfortunately, it is challenging for many students and does not come easy. I am here to address the main issues that arise when understanding math concepts. I will guide them to understand fundamentally how to break down a problem without rushing to the answer and show them how to tackle a challenge problem on their own. It is my major, so I love doing math!
