About LB
I have been tutoring students since 2021, including ages 8-17. I enjoy teaching and helping individuals grasp concepts that they are struggling with. In high school, I received a 4.0 gpa and a 34 on my ACT. I am 19 years old and will graduate college with my Bachelors degree in Chemistry and Communications next Spring!

During a traditional lesson, I go over with the student the previous week lesson as well as any specific questions or topics they would be interested in covering. We then discuss any upcoming assignments/quizzes/tests that the student may have to see where are focus needs to be. I work with the student using a hands on learning method-allowing them to see the mistakes and learn from them as we work through problems, instead of just lecturing the whole time. I have found this method to be the most effective for students in school, as another lecture is typically not the most beneficial after a long day of class. My lesson plans are adaptable to all individuals and different learning styles. I have previously worked with students with learning disabilities and those who are neurodivergent, in which I have been able to adapt my lesson plans to them. I cater all plans to the individual student based on their learning style, personality, grade level, and struggle areas.
