I am the head of programming for North Bay Film, a sessional professor at Canadore College and a PhD candidate in cultural history through York University. I am a graduate of Nipissing University (Bachelor of Arts in English & history, Master of Arts in history).

I am currently a sessional professor at Canadore College. When working with high school, college and university students, my preference is for seminar-style teaching and tutoring, where the student(s) and instructor are engaged in an active discussion about the material. When exploring a subject like English literature in a seminar, the goal is not to debate or prove a point, but to discuss and reflect on the text, to more deeply understand what the author was trying to say.
