About Emily
I am a recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where I completed my bachelor of arts in chemistry. I have tutored at a college level for two years in both English and chemistry. I have tutored students individually and in classes of up to eighty people. My teaching experience encompasses both theoretical and laboratory chemistry. Analytical chemistry, biochemistry, general chemistry, and physical chemistry are all areas where I am experienced. Outside of tutoring, I have several years of experience working in bench research laboratories and am proficient in many lab techniques.

In December, I graduated with a bachelors degree in chemistry from the University of Cincinnati, where I served as an academic tutor, supplemental instruction leader, and teaching assistant during my studies. I approach each topic by first determining my students' level of familiarity with the topic. From there, I begin each topic at a basic level and offer practice questions early on. I base most of my approach on practical applications of knowledge and problem solving. If students struggle with a particular area, I will break down each topic down into small sections and review them in a lecture. I am very open to questions, so please don't hesitate to ask!
