About Masih
Hello, I'm Masih, a Canadian college professor with 12 years of English teaching experience and 3 degrees from top Canadian universities. I grew up in Toronto, Canada, but I have worked and lived all over the world. My hobbies include working out at my local gym, reading novels and self-improvement books, and spending quality time with my wife and four children. In addition to English, I speak Farsi and Arabic fluently. I have been teaching ESL, English Literature, Test Prep and Academic English since 2012. I have taught children, teens, and adults in Canada, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and elsewhere. I have taught multiple English language courses at the best Canadian universities and colleges, including the University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Algonquin College and La Cite College. I have three Canadian university degrees in English, Education, and Language Teaching. In addition, I am TESL Canada certified (Professional Standard Two). I also have a wealth of knowledge regarding standardized English tests. I have worked as a certified IELTS speaking examiner, a CELPIP writing rater, and a CAEL test developer. My teaching style is learner-centred and individualized. I don't follow a specific curriculum or textbook. I give students what they need to achieve their goals. My classes involve dialogue, exercises, instruction, and fun. I am open to teaching a wide range of learners, including children, teenagers, and adults. Also, I am open to teaching any English course requested, including IELTS prep and Academic Writing.
