About Emil
Hello! I'm Emil, a long time climber and mountaineer, with a passion for training and coaching. I've been climbing for 9 years, having spent a number of those as a travelling sponsored climber for Boreal. I've trained and coached extensively for the three primary disciplines of rock climbing, trad, sport and boudlering, and look forward to helping you achive your goals in climbing. Outside of climbing, I'm studying Law at the University of Aberdeen and training Muay Thai and general S&C.

With a number of years spent travelling both the UK and the broader world I have a broad knowledge of climbing, training and breaking through plateus. I offer a number of services including remote coaching, in-person coaching (based out of Aberdeen, Scotland), strength and conditoning training, climbing specific training and a number of one off 3 / 6 / 9 month progression plans to help you realise your potential on the wall, regardless of your goals.
Remote coaching involves weekly video calls, with detailed breakdown and analysis of self-recorded climbing footage, higlighting technical improvements to be made and indentifying possible physical issues or underdevelopments. At the end of the session, we go through some weakness focused excerises I would have picked out based upon the footage for you to intergrate into your sessions to aid your progress and highlight specific focuse areas for the following week of climbing.
In person coaching involves a 1 hour session at Transition Extreme in Aberdeen, Scotland. I would spend the hour working with you to help explore areas you feel need improvement or want to develop in, through demonstrations and detailed analysis of balance, kinesthetic awareness, physical and finger strength. At the end of the session I would go over a number of drills / excerises specificly selected for you to intergrate into the following week of climbing to aid your progress towards your desired goal.
Progression plans are priced on a variable scale, based off how long it takes me to create it for you, and are fully flexible to help you attain your goals. These plans range from 3 - 9 months, with monthly check-ins to discuss tweaks and progress. They require an inital assesment, which can be done remotely or in person.
