About Alice
I have a First Class undergraduate degree from Oxford in Classics and an MPhil from Cambridge. I have taught Latin at an independent school in the UK, and English in rural Normandy. I have over 250 hours of private tutoring experience, with extensive experience preparing students for UK and international exams, providing ongoing support, and running unique research projects.

For Latin, Greek or Classical Civilisation, I can offer targeted support, help students prepare for exams, teach the whole qualification for a student, and help with the process of university admissions, including help with interviews, personal statements and providing academic extension & further reading. My teaching philosophy is to provide a supportive atmosphere which still provides academic challenge; one of the wonderful things about private tutoring is that lessons can be tailored to the student's exact needs. I believe in using tutoring as a way for students to build confidence and independence.
