About Oona
I've been playing the piano for 17 years and spent 10 years in the SMU's Piano Preparatory Department, where I later taught while earning my degree in piano performance. My training there taught me to put an emphasis on a student's technique early, and to build up a solid foundation used for all playing styles!

Whatever a student's goals may be, I'll help them get there! I grew up with classical training and put a large emphasis in helping my students develop good and comfortable playing techniques. I've taught students aged 5-67 years old, beginners to advanced. The classical style may be what my own education was focused on, but it's by no means what I'm limited to in teaching. I work with my students on what gets them passionate, helping them find songs from games they like, or deep-diving into music theory and improvisation.
