I am a civil/structural engineer working in the nuclear industry, with a strong background in mathematics, physics, engineering fundamentals, and technical problem-solving. My tutoring approach is practical, structured, and focused on understanding rather than memorization. I start by identifying the student’s current level, gaps, and goals, then break each topic into simple steps using examples, visuals, and real engineering applications where helpful. I also encourage students to explain their reasoning back to me, since this shows whether they truly understand the concept.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of the previous topic, followed by a clear explanation of the new concept, guided examples, and independent practice problems. I then review mistakes with the student, explain the correct method, and finish with a short summary of key takeaways and recommended practice.
What sets me apart is my background as a civil/structural engineer working in the nuclear industry, where math, physics, calculations, and technical problem-solving are used in real projects. This allows me to connect classroom theory to practical engineering applications and help students see why the material matters.
My lessons are mainly for middle school, high school, college, and university students. I am also open to helping younger students build a strong foundation in math and science as they prepare for high school and college-level learning.
