About Torran
I have an undergraduate degree in civil engineering (i.e. Civil Engineering (BEng)) and I am currently enrolled in a master's degree in Civil & Transportation Engineering. I have a keen interest in statistical modelling and data forecasting, and hope to study a PhD, or get a job, in this area come next summer. Although I am new to Superprof, I have experience tutoring secondary school students at National 5 and Scottish Higher levels.

I believe the best way to enhance understanding of numerate subjects (e.g. mathematics, physics, engineering) is to discuss specific problems and work towards solutions together. In other words, I find that studying past paper questions (or homework questions) prior to a tutoring session then evaluating answers during one to be a beneficial learning technique.
