About Basil
Hello! I am a dedicated Civil Engineering graduate currently working as a professional QA/QC Engineer in Dubai. For me, Physics is not just an academic subject; they are the fundamental principles I apply every single day in the real world of construction and engineering quality control.
Before relocating to the UAE, I spent time in India providing focused, 1-on-1 online tuition, specializing heavily in high school Physics for the IGCSE curriculum as well as the State Board.
Because of my background in quality assurance, my natural approach is highly analytical and detail-oriented. I bring this exact same professional structure to my tutoring. I do not believe in rote memorization. Instead, I teach my students how to break down complex problems systematically, understand the practical 'why' behind the formulas, and apply critical thinking to ace their exams.
I am passionate about mentoring students, building their confidence in learning, and showing them how the physics they learn in the classroom actually builds the world around them.

As a working Civil Engineer in QA/QC, my approach to Physics is highly practical and structured. I don't just ask students to memorize textbook formulas; I show them how these principles apply to the real world. My methodology focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, digestible steps. Since my day job revolves around quality control and problem-solving, I train my students to approach Physics problems with the same analytical mindset—identifying exactly what the question is asking and applying the right principles to solve it without making careless errors.
We focus heavily on past-paper practice and exam techniques to ensure students know exactly how to score maximum marks.
Typical Lesson Structure:
A standard lecture lasts for 60 minutes. (customisable as per requirements). Each includes:
• Reviewing the previous week's concepts and homework.
• Breaking down a new topic with real-world examples and interactive problem-solving.
• Tackling past paper questions related to the topic so the student feels exam-ready.
My Experience & Qualifications:
I hold a B.Tech. I have a degree in Civil Engineering and currently work as a professional QA/QC engineer in Dubai. Before moving to the UAE, I gained extensive experience providing 1-on-1 online tuition for students, specifically focusing on high school Physics (including IGCSE and State Board curriculums). This experience taught me how to adapt my teaching pace to suit each individual student's learning style over a digital platform.
