About Renato
I frame music study as part of the pursuit of the good, the true, and the beautiful. I am a Christian flute teacher and worship leader with over 20 years of music experience and two college degrees in music. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education (Flute) and a Master’s degree in Church Music (Conducting). I currently serve as a Minister of Music/Worship in a local church, where I lead congregational singing and equip musicians to serve faithfully and skillfully in corporate worship.
In addition to my church ministry, I am a homeschool dad, which gives me a deep appreciation for family-centered education, intentional discipleship, and flexible scheduling. I have taught students of all ages and levels—from beginners to advanced players—including those preparing for church ensembles, school bands, auditions, and lifelong musical growth.
My teaching is explicitly faith-centered, rooted in the Christian conviction that music is a gift from God and that learning it well is an act of stewardship. Lessons emphasize strong fundamentals—tone, technique, music reading, and musicianship—while also forming character, discipline, and joy.
