About Srishti
I am a British Indian who learned Mandarin from the age of 12, and loved it so much that I continued to study Chinese Studies at university.
I am a fun, confident, and approachable China enthusiast who loves teaching others about this language and culture.
Having had plenty of experience private tutoring as well as teaching classes of 30 pupils, I love to share my knowledge and tricks of learning the 'most difficult language in the world'.
My hobbies include playing the piano and guitar, singing, swimming, and creative writing.

I started learning Mandarin as an extra subject in school, but this ended up being 10 years of learning and even my major at university level! For someone who has learned it for so long, I can safely say that Mandarin is NOT the toughest language in the world. I can help you simplify this 'complex' language and converse with native level speakers.
Since Mandarin is not my native language, I very well understand the process of learning the language, and how to master it. I have achieved distinctions in all of my Mandarin speaking exams, and native speakers often cannot distinguish my Mandarin skills from their own.
From plenty of speaking practice, hints and tips, to watching Chinese dramas, I offer a fun and interesting route to mastering the Mandarin language. It is a truly beautiful, fascinating, and rewarding language to learn.
In the space of 45 minutes a lesson, you can expect a class filled with not only the language, but also knowledge about Chinese culture and history. Come join me!
