About Lu
I am a Chinese native speaker with four-year bachelor background majored in Chinese language and literacy. I have a master degree in Early Childhood Teaching at the University of Melbourne, as well as another master degree in Foreign Language Teaching at the UC. I have been teaching children Mandarin for 6 years and adults for 2 years.

For me, there are two main points in teaching language. One is that learning a language is learning from a real-life situation. Instead of memorizing conversations from the textbook, I have had organised 'excursions' for my adult students to practice their language either in a Chinese restaurant or talk to a native speaker. Secondly, learning a language is fun and meaningful. This is not only for younger students. Learning conversations and vocabulary from interests and through games are the best start to open the door to a new language.
