About Jenna

As an educator, I have 10 years of experience teaching interactive classes, both in person and virtually.

I have worked in a variety of settings with young children such as parenting and family literacy centres, daycares, schools, 1:1 in person coaching with parents etc etc! I would be happy to email you my resume at your request.

I am currently teaching part time with a company called VIPKID, which is based in China. I teach English to Chinese children on VIPKID’s platform by implementing an interactive class with the use of props and actions. On this platform, I received 5/5 ratings from 200 parents that were happy with their child's love for learning and overall progress since I started working with them. Feel free to look at a sample VIPKID lesson on YouTube to get a better understanding of how we provide interactive classes to our young students!

Lastly, my goal is to offer your child a positive learning experience, by giving them the one-on-one attention they deserve and need, in order to reach their full potential!

About the lesson

Hi. My name is Miss. Jenna! I am looking to teach English as a second language to young children as well as tutoring in a variety of subjects for Kindergarten-Grade 3 students.

I believe that when learning is fun, any child can succeed! I truly believe that an energetic, experienced, and fun teacher can make a difference in your child’s overall learning and their ability to enjoy learning.

This year has been a tough one for many children due to remote learning taking place in large groups of children. I alter my classes to fit the needs of your specific child and I take into consideration their level of development and interests as well!

I have 10 years of experience working with children of a variety of ages and abilities.

In our first meeting, your child will receive a complimentary lesson. This will give me a chance to get to know your child better and his or her level, so that I can create my customized lesson plans.

Well before our lessons, I will email any printable worksheets or materials needed for the next lesson. But don't worry, a list of materials will be given to you at the start of our time together so that your child is prepared for all of the lessons to come.

Jenna is a lovely teacher! She has such a natural way of teaching her students that allows them to listen, learn, and really absorb the information. She uses props and lots of hands on materials to teach. From the very beginning, my daughter felt so comfortable with her and she always asks me when she is going to see Miss. Jenna again. Thank you Jenna for your enthusiasm, energy, and expression in your classes!

Jenna helped my 4 year old so much! We recently moved to Canada and my child didn’t know any English. She was so patient with him and provided the best interactive classes that had him moving and simply having so much fun while learning so much English. She had so many resources from her part time job that worked very well with my child, including toys and props to allow him to learn with visuals to capture his attention. Thank you Jenna for all of your help so far!
