About Emma
I am a Chemistry undergraduate at the University of Oxford, with a strong interest in Science, Mathematics and German. I am passionate about building students' confidence as I recognise how much this can influence academic progress. I believe that with clear explanations and consistency, challenging subjects can be much more manageable and even enjoyable!
I strongly believe that Science and Maths should be accessible to everyone, and I place an emphasis on breaking down difficult concepts into simpler, clearer explanations that are much more approachable to students. I dislike it when concepts are made to seem more complicated than necessary, as I believe this discourages many students from engaging with the content.
I am patient, organised and dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and express any concerns.

My lessons are personalised to meet each student's individual needs and goals. I focus on improving both subject understanding and exam technique. Through clear explanations and guided exam practice, I aim to increase students' confidence and performance.
A typical lesson lasts around one hour and begins with 5-10 minutes of active recall of key concepts, followed by working through exam questions together and clarifying any areas of confusion. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student's needs, while strongly prioritising consistent, high-quality revision over long, intense study sessions.
As a Chemistry undergraduate at the University of Oxford, I offer tuition in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and German A-levels and GCSEs. I also offer support in Triple and Combined Science GCSE, including Physics. I am committed to helping students build confidence and find enjoyment in their studies.
