About Paula
My teaching approach in Chemistry focuses on making complex topics simple and practical. I emphasise subjects like acid-base chemistry, pH calculations, titration, and buffer solutions, helping students see how these concepts apply in real life. Problem-solving is at the heart of my lessons, where step-by-step guidance builds strong understanding. I work closely with students preparing for research projects and Olympiad contests, sharpening their skills in chemical equilibrium and related calculations. Each session is tailored to the student’s pace and learning style, ensuring they feel confident with the material. I encourage questions and practice, as this helps deepen knowledge and improve problem-solving speed. By focusing on practical examples, I help students connect theory to experiments and everyday chemistry. This approach builds not only knowledge but also confidence in tackling tough problems. My goal is to support every student in excelling, whether in exams, competitions, or research. Together, we work to make Chemistry clear, enjoyable, and rewarding.

I am a passionate Chemistry tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Chemistry (MChem). Throughout my career, I have specialised in guiding students through the complex topics of atmospheric chemistry and environmental pollution. I help students develop a deep understanding of critical issues such as smog formation, ozone depletion, acid rain, and the effects of greenhouse gases. These subjects are not only fascinating but also vital to our planet’s health. I have worked extensively with environmental science students as well as those interested in air quality and climate policy. My tutoring approach focuses on clear explanations, practical examples, and real-world applications. This helps students connect theory to the urgent environmental challenges we face today. Many of my students have successfully mastered difficult concepts and excelled in exams and assignments with my support. I enjoy breaking down complicated chemical reactions and processes into manageable, engaging lessons. Atmospheric chemistry is a dynamic field, and understanding it empowers us to protect the environment better. For me, there is great joy in analysing how the chemistry of our atmosphere influences the world around us. Together, we can explore these topics and build a foundation for informed action towards a cleaner, healthier planet.
