About Megan
In my Chemistry lessons, we explore the fascinating world of organic compounds with clarity and purpose. I use a systematic approach to break down complex structures into simple, understandable parts. We cover organic nomenclature, functional groups, reaction mechanisms, and isomerism step by step. Visual aids and conceptual maps help bring these intricate molecules to life and make them easier to remember. You’ll learn how to recognize patterns and connections between reactions, which builds confidence in tackling even the toughest problems. I provide consistent feedback to help you improve and stay on track. Together, we’ll build a strong foundation that supports your journey into advanced organic synthesis. These lessons are designed to help aspiring green chemists and biochemists excel in understanding the chemistry of carbon-based molecules. We’ll also explore how these concepts apply to real-life biological and industrial processes. By the end, you’ll see how organic chemistry unlocks the secrets of life’s essential molecules and materials.

I’m an experienced Chemistry tutor with over 7 years of teaching university students, holding a BSc in Environmental Chemistry. I specialize in making complex topics like nonmetallic chemistry and catalysis accessible, engaging, and practical. My focus is on helping students understand the beauty and utility of metal–carbon bonds and catalytic cycles in real-world contexts.
Whether it’s the Heck reaction, Suzuki coupling, or other catalytic processes, I guide students step-by-step through the underlying mechanisms and their applications in organic synthesis. I use industrial examples to illustrate how these reactions enable efficient and selective transformations on a large scale. Many of my students are Chemistry majors or Chemical Engineering students, and I tailor my explanations to suit their academic and professional needs.
I believe in combining clear theoretical explanations with examples from pharmaceuticals, polymers, and materials chemistry to show the relevance of each concept. My sessions are interactive, with plenty of room for questions and problem-solving practice.
