About Gianna
My fascination with chemistry began with an interest in understanding how substances interact and transform. This curiosity led me to complete a B.Sc in Chemistry followed by an M.Sc in Chemical Sciences, where I developed strong analytical and laboratory-based skills. Over 11 years of teaching, I have helped students overcome fear of chemistry by focusing on clarity, structure, and confidence-building.
I approach teaching with patience and attention to detail, recognizing that chemistry often challenges students with abstract ideas. I take time to explain concepts step by step, ensuring learners understand the reasoning behind reactions and calculations. I believe confidence grows naturally when students feel supported and understood.
Outside teaching, I stay engaged with chemical research, laboratory practices, and educational advancements. Teaching chemistry is deeply fulfilling because I see students grow from confusion to clarity, developing trust in their ability to understand and apply scientific concepts effectively.

Chemistry becomes approachable when students understand how matter behaves and changes at a fundamental level. My lessons focus on building conceptual clarity in atomic structure, bonding, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and basic organic and inorganic chemistry. I explain how microscopic interactions lead to observable outcomes, using structured explanation and clear examples that help learners visualize processes rather than memorize equations.
Lesson structure adapts to learner level. Beginners focus on basic concepts such as atoms, elements, compounds, and reaction types. Intermediate learners strengthen understanding of equations, mole concepts, energy changes, and laboratory reasoning. Advanced learners work on reaction mechanisms, quantitative problem-solving, and exam-focused strategies. Each lesson integrates guided practice and feedback to reinforce understanding.
Chemistry lessons also build precision, logical thinking, and confidence in scientific reasoning. Students learn to approach problems systematically and explain processes accurately. My goal is to help learners see chemistry as a logical, organized science that becomes manageable and even enjoyable with the right guidance.
