About Gideon
My interest in Chemistry began from a fascination with how substances interact, transform, and influence the world around us. This curiosity encouraged me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Organic Chemistry while continuing to explore scientific concepts and laboratory techniques through teaching and study. During the past 4 years, I have helped students improve understanding and confidence through supportive instruction and carefully structured learning experiences.
I believe Chemistry becomes easier when students understand concepts clearly instead of memorizing information without reasoning. My teaching style focuses on conceptual clarity, patience, and adaptable explanation suited to different learning styles and confidence levels. I enjoy simplifying difficult scientific ideas through diagrams, practical examples, and step-by-step problem-solving methods that make lessons more approachable and engaging. I also encourage students to ask questions freely because discussion often helps strengthen understanding and confidence naturally.
Outside teaching, I enjoy reading scientific journals, learning about environmental chemistry, and exploring developments in healthcare and laboratory research. These interests help me keep lessons updated and connected to practical scientific applications. Teaching Chemistry is rewarding because I enjoy helping students overcome uncertainty and become more confident in science. Watching learners improve academically while developing stronger analytical thinking remains one of the most meaningful parts of my teaching journey.

My Chemistry lessons focus on helping students understand scientific concepts through clear explanation and practical learning activities. I teach topics such as atomic structure, bonding, acids and bases, organic chemistry, chemical equations, and laboratory methods using relatable examples and structured discussions. Instead of focusing only on memorization, I guide students toward understanding why reactions happen and how chemical systems connect naturally. This approach helps learners improve confidence steadily while developing stronger scientific reasoning and analytical ability.
Each lesson is personalized according to the student’s confidence level and academic goals. Beginners focus on formulas, balancing equations, scientific vocabulary, and foundational concepts through guided practice and patient explanation. Intermediate learners improve conceptual understanding, reaction analysis, and calculation accuracy through application-based activities and structured exercises. Advanced students focus on reaction mechanisms, laboratory interpretation, and examination preparation through deeper conceptual exploration and revision sessions. Regular practice tasks help learners strengthen consistency, confidence, and long-term understanding gradually over time.
I aim to create a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring scientific ideas. Many learners initially feel overwhelmed by formulas and calculations, but confidence develops naturally once topics are simplified and explained clearly. My lessons encourage curiosity, participation, and independent thinking while supporting gradual academic progress. Students often become more interested in science as they understand how Chemistry relates to daily life and industrial applications. My goal is to help learners approach Chemistry with confidence and stronger scientific understanding.
