About Elodie
My passion for chemistry started with a fascination for how substances interact and transform in our world. I pursued a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry to deepen my understanding of reactions, molecular behaviour, and laboratory techniques. Over 8 years of teaching, I have guided students in understanding theoretical concepts, mastering calculations, and developing practical laboratory skills.
I emphasise connecting concepts to real-world applications, using examples, experiments, and problem-solving exercises to make chemistry engaging and relevant. Lessons encourage questioning, exploration, and logical reasoning, helping learners develop both skill and confidence.
Beyond the classroom, I stay current with chemical research, new methodologies, and educational innovations. Integrating these insights into lessons ensures students gain modern, applicable knowledge. Witnessing learners grow in understanding, analytical ability, and enthusiasm for chemistry is immensely fulfilling and continues to inspire my dedication to teaching.

Chemistry lessons with me are designed to make complex chemical concepts understandable, practical, and exciting. I cover organic chemistry, inorganic reactions, physical chemistry principles, stoichiometry, chemical kinetics, and equilibrium. Lessons integrate visual explanations, practical examples, interactive problem-solving, and laboratory simulations to build both conceptual understanding and applied skills. I encourage curiosity, analytical thinking, and structured problem-solving, creating an engaging and supportive environment where learners can explore chemistry confidently.
Beginners focus on foundational concepts, including atomic structure, bonding, and basic reaction mechanisms. Intermediate students explore reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, solution chemistry, and molecular interactions. Advanced learners study spectroscopy, advanced synthesis, and laboratory problem-solving, honing both critical thinking and experimental design skills. Lessons include stepwise guidance, practice exercises, and detailed feedback to reinforce understanding and retention.
Chemistry education also develops analytical reasoning, precision, and scientific literacy. Students learn to approach problems methodically, predict reaction outcomes, and interpret data accurately.
