About Hannah
I'm 2nd year student currently working towards my Masters degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry at Keele University.
I have been tutoring people since I was 16, helping to run a private study group for around 20 children preparing for their 11+ entrance exams, to which they went on be admitted into their first choice high school. When I entered Sixth Form I began to give individual lessons for GCSE Mathematics and Chemistry students, helping them gain confidence and also mentoring them in any of the areas they felt weakest on.
I was a member of my high school's Chemistry Quiz team, and after participating, helped to train the future team to take over. I have achieved an A* at GCSE level for Chemistry and went on to achieve a B in A-Level.

As someone who is a practical learner and understands that the vast amount of content is difficult to commit solely to memory, I aim to help students engage with the content through questions, to apply their knowledge rather than just reciting textbooks. As I've found from personal experience and through teaching others that one of the best ways to test whether the student truly understands the content given is to work through past exam or quiz-style questions that test that knowledge.
Lessons will focus on first identifying weaker areas the student might have, identifying why, and also helping to spot mistakes that can easily lose marks. So from there, their confidence can be built to be able to handle those questions in a exam setting, without feeling any panic.
