About Hattie
I'm a PhD researcher in chemistry with 8 years of tutoring experience. I have had the pleasure of teaching a variety of pupils including young children, teenagers at the beginning of secondary school, students approaching final exams and undergraduate students. I most often teach students in early undergraduate and those at Masters level. In terms of high school learning, I am experienced in both Scottish and English chemistry curriculum.

I am flexible in my teaching style and happy to tailor my approach to each student. Generally, I tend to focus on overall learning and aim to lead students through course material in a way which reinforces what they have learned in school. Students and parents occasionally request specific focus on areas where pupils may be struggling, and this fosters a more guided learning approach. I am frequently involved in exam preparation, how to identify areas which are frequently tested in exams and how to structure student answers to achieve maximum marks.
I have a flexible schedule and am happy to accommodate classes throughout the day, before and after school or on the weekends. I am based in London and can travel if students prefer in person classes, or I am always happy to host tutoring sessions online.
For those interested in deeper learning, my specialities include electrochemistry, electrocatalysis, materials chemistry, renewable energy.
