About Mason
My passion for chemistry started with exploring experiments, understanding elements, and observing reactions in everyday life. This curiosity led me to complete a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, where I studied reaction mechanisms, analytical techniques, and practical laboratory methods. My education provided the tools to explain chemistry in an accessible and meaningful way.
Over 6 years of teaching, I have worked with students needing guidance on both fundamental and advanced topics. My approach combines clear explanations, hands-on examples, and structured problem-solving to ensure learners fully understand concepts rather than just memorize facts.
Outside teaching, I enjoy experimenting with chemical demonstrations, reading about new chemical discoveries, and connecting chemistry to real-life applications. Teaching chemistry is fulfilling because it allows me to guide students from uncertainty to confidence while developing critical thinking and analytical abilities that extend beyond the classroom.

My chemistry lessons are structured to help students understand the principles behind chemical reactions, formulas, and calculations. Many learners feel that chemistry is difficult because they try to memorize reactions without understanding why they occur. I start lessons with foundational concepts such as the structure of matter, atoms, elements, and the periodic table to establish a solid base.
Once students are comfortable, lessons progress to reaction types, stoichiometry, acids and bases, and solution calculations. I use practical examples, diagrams, and problem-solving exercises to demonstrate how chemistry concepts are applied in real-world scenarios. Students practice applying formulas and concepts in exercises that reinforce understanding and accuracy.
The aim is to make chemistry both understandable and interesting, helping learners develop analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Lessons focus on conceptual understanding, reasoning, and application, so students build lasting knowledge. Over time, learners gain confidence in their ability to tackle complex problems and understand the chemical world around them.
