About Ivy
My fascination with Chemistry began with curiosity about chemical reactions and molecular behavior. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Chemistry, where I gained expertise in chemical theory, laboratory practices, and analytical reasoning. Over 10 years, I have guided learners of all levels, helping them develop both conceptual understanding and practical laboratory skills, while fostering confidence and curiosity. I teach with patience, clarity, and adaptability, using demonstrations, guided exercises, and experiments to make abstract concepts tangible. Encouraging independent thinking, observation, and problem-solving is central to my teaching philosophy, helping learners become confident and capable in Chemistry. Outside the classroom, I actively follow research, new experimental techniques, and innovative chemical applications. Integrating these insights enriches lessons and connects learning to real-world scenarios. Witnessing students grow in competence, analytical ability, and enthusiasm for Chemistry is deeply rewarding and motivates me to continually improve my teaching approach.

Chemistry becomes approachable when learners understand how substances behave and interact in practical contexts. I start lessons with atomic structure, bonding, the periodic table, and basic reactions. Using diagrams, demonstrations, and hands-on experiments, students build conceptual understanding, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving confidence. Lessons encourage curiosity, active observation, and stepwise learning to make complex ideas understandable and applicable.
Intermediate lessons cover stoichiometry, thermodynamics, kinetics, acids and bases, and equilibrium. Students learn to analyze multi-step problems, interpret laboratory data, and connect theoretical concepts with practical applications. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning to help learners master concepts and develop problem-solving strategies.
Advanced lessons explore organic reactions, analytical techniques, spectroscopy, and experimental design. Students practice predicting reaction outcomes, evaluating methods, and applying knowledge to complex scenarios. My teaching balances structured guidance, inquiry-based learning, and hands-on practice, fostering technical competence, intellectual curiosity, and confidence in Chemistry.
