Hi, My name is Rhys Jenkins. I am a recent Chemical Engineering Graduate from Swansea University. I am an outgoing and intuitive individual who wants to make a difference in education among school and University students. My techniques to teaching are focusing on what you as a student are struggling with the most and using proactive and enjoyable techniques tailored to the individual to help enhance knowledge and understanding. Methodology consists mainly of connecting lessons to real-world applications and breaking down complex topics into smaller, more manageable sections, however I am very flexible so if there is a specific way of learning you like I am more than happy to roll with that. The typical lesson would start with a basis of what you are good at and what you struggle with. My 'methods' of teaching depend entirely on how you as a student approach learning and what works best for you as this is the most efficient way to not get overwhelmed and feel like you are being spoken with rather than spoken at. Length of a lesson can depend on the student but usually ranges from 60-90 minutes each day so as to not overwhelm the student. I have tutored GCSE Maths since graduating university in summer 2025 and achieved an 8 at GCSE and B at A-level. I also taught more complex mathematics at a University level in Engineering to my peers and first year students whilst completing my final year, so I am more than capable of teaching higher level mathematics too.
