About Adam
I’m a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ experience working across a Big 4 accounting firm and a major Australian bank. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with complex financial information and real-world business challenges, while regularly explaining accounting concepts to people without an accounting background.
I’ve also tutored university students for 3 years across most core accounting subjects at RMIT. This experience taught me how to break down difficult topics into simple, practical explanations that actually make sense — not just theory from a textbook.
I teach because I genuinely enjoy helping students move from feeling confused or overwhelmed to feeling confident and capable. Accounting can seem intimidating when it’s taught in a purely theoretical way, so my approach focuses on clarity, real-world examples, and step-by-step explanations tailored to each student’s learning style.
I take a patient, supportive approach and create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions (no matter how small). Seeing students improve their understanding, confidence, and results is what motivates me most, and why I enjoy tutoring alongside my professional career.

About Me
I’m a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ experience working across a Big 4 accounting firm and a major Australian bank. Throughout my career, I’ve applied accounting concepts in real-world environments — from financial reporting and analysis to investigations, controls, and problem-solving in complex scenarios.
I understand that accounting can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially at school or university. My goal as a tutor is to break down complex concepts into simple, practical explanations, helping students build confidence, improve results, and actually understand why things work — not just memorise formulas.

Typical Lesson Length
30 - minute lessons
60-minute lessons (recommended for most students)
Can be extended to 90 minutes for exam prep or assignment support
Lessons are delivered online, making them flexible and convenient
