About Charley
Hi, I'm Charley!
I work full time as a primary school teacher working in year 6. This is my third-year teaching in this year group, so I am confident and experienced in teaching and supporting children in preparing for their SATs exams.
Previously to this I worked as a teaching assistant for 7 years, supporting children with their learning journey. I also have plenty of experience with supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities from both volunteering at a SEN school and working with Merton Mencap.
Being a primary teacher allows me to have subject knowledge within all areas of the curriculum. All my resources will be in line with the national curriculum and will be adaptable/ accessible to all learners. My tutoring sessions will be tailored to your individual needs, with any necessary assessments being carried out at the beginning of our sessions to ensure that your gaps/ misconceptions are identified. The most important thing I’d like you to know about me is that I think making mistakes and finding ways to fix them is the best way to learn. As your tutor I’ll ask you to try your best, listen and ask questions. I strive to create a comfortable, honest and welcoming learning environment and will try to make it as fun as possible along the way.
