About Petra
As a graduate computer science teacher from the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb, I work with children in a school environment on a daily basis and am very familiar with the curricula, expectations and challenges that students face. I am currently completing a postgraduate specialist study in e-learning in education and business, which allows me to have a modern, thoughtful and pedagogically based approach to learning. In my work, I am responsible, patient and dedicated to each student, and I place special emphasis on creating a safe and relaxed atmosphere in which the child feels free to ask questions and learn without fear of making mistakes. I believe that every child can progress with the right approach, enough time and understanding. Parents often recognize me as a teacher who explains clearly, adapts to the child and builds self-confidence, and students appreciate my friendly but professional attitude. The goal of my work is not only to help in mastering the material, but also to develop a positive attitude towards learning.

Teaching techniques and methods In my work, I use an individual approach, adapted to the age, knowledge and needs of each student. I explain the material simply, step by step, with lots of concrete examples and practical tasks. I emphasize understanding, not rote learning, and I encourage students to think and be independent. I use: • conversation and guided explanation • visual examples and digital tools • practical tasks adapted to the student • repetition in a way that makes sense to the student ️ Lesson flow 1. Short conversation and checking what the student already knows 2. Explaining the material that is currently problematic 3. Joint solving of tasks 4. Independent work of the students with my support 5. Short repetition and agreement on further work The lesson is structured, but relaxed - without pressure and rush. My special qualities as a teacher • I work in a school and know the curriculum and expectations • I am patient and adaptable • I have experience working with children of different abilities • I create a positive and safe atmosphere for learning • My goal is to strengthen students' self-confidence The classes are intended for elementary school students, especially: • students who need additional help in learning • children who want to master the material more confidently • students who need an individual approach • children who have difficulty concentrating or organizing their learning
