About Megan
I’m a 33 year old mother to 2 daughters of my own (6 and 2)and a step mother to my 15 year old step daughter. As the primary caretaker to my stepdaughter during her elementary school years and much of her middle school ones, I not only have professional experience in teaching students of that age bracket, I have personal experience in teaching children of that age with special needs. I was very involved in her IEP curriculum planning and would tutor in Math and History among other subjects during the years she was not living with us- this not only allowed her to pass all of her classes (two grades were brought up by over 20 percentage points that semester) but she received As in classes she once viewed as a weakness of hers. The level of confidence she gained that year in her academics helped guide her future success! I believe this is true for all students

Having homeschooled two students with very different learning techniques (both in how they studied and how they approached lectures and class work) has taught me to utilize various forms of teaching methods and come from all angles until I find what works for that student. Every student is different when it comes to how they approach learning, especially when they are trying to learn difficult or unfamiliar material. It is my job to figure out what that unique approach may be in order to help them reach their fullest potential!
