About Jasper
I am a passionate piano tutor with over nine years of experience helping students develop their musical skills and confidence. Holding a degree in music, I combine formal education with practical teaching methods to create engaging and effective lessons. My goal is to inspire a love for piano while ensuring students build a strong technical foundation. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with learners of all ages and levels, from beginners taking their first steps to advanced players preparing for performances or exams. My piano lessons are designed to support students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players. Each lesson focuses on building strong technical skills, improving sight-reading abilities, and deepening understanding of music theory. This well-rounded approach ensures that students develop the confidence and competence needed to perform a variety of musical pieces.
I tailor lessons to each student’s goals and interests, whether that’s preparing for exams, learning classical repertoire, or exploring contemporary music styles. Hands-on practice, along with clear explanations and demonstrations, helps students grasp complex concepts and develop proper technique. Emphasis is placed on posture, finger strength, and fluidity to build a solid foundation and prevent injury.
Sight-reading is an integral part of the learning process, allowing students to approach new pieces with greater ease and independence. Music theory lessons are incorporated naturally to explain how compositions are structured, which enhances both performance and creativity. I encourage students to experiment with dynamics and expression to bring music to life.
